Lanyon is a family run business situated down a country lane just a few miles from a sandy beach on Cornwall's stunning north coast. Three properties occupy a peaceful position on a 225-acre arable farm each property has a Visit Britain `5 Star' rating.

Lanyon Manor still bears its family crest over the porch with the date 1668, and retains many of its original wooden floors, wall panelling and open fires, this is an elegant place to stay with guests of up to 12. Coswyn Barn makes a spacious and comfortable base for a large group up to 14 guests; it exhibits panelled walls in the hallway, and oak floors. The delightful detached Coach House offers charming accommodation for a much smaller group up to 4 guests. Boasting wooden floors to the main rooms, it makes a cosy retreat at any time of year. In addition each property has its own secluded private gardens, alfresco dinning area and shares the use of an outdoor heated swimming-pool.

Albertine and Geoffrey bought Lanyon in November 1995 before then it had been in the Lanyon family for 300 years. The manor required a lot of renovation and the Coach-House was still a Coach-House and Coswyn Barn was a barn where Geoffrey who was still farming would store seed potatoes.

In 1997 the Coach-House was converted and in 2003 work started on converting Coswyn Barn. More images and information to follow, mum, dad and myself are still writing the full story.
