A self catering holiday cottage Lanyon Manor sleeps 12; this is self catering with elegance like no other. An Elizabethan Manor at the end of a private drive Lanyon is an exceptional holiday accommodation that is steeped in history. The original dwelling was mentioned in the Domesday Book and the house of today dates back to the 17th century - stepping inside is like stepping back in time.
There is ample of private parking, your own private walled gardens and a shared heated swimming pool. Lanyon Manor is also in walking distance of a local pub. Godrevy beach is 15 minutes in the car, Hayle is the closest town also 15 minutes in the car and has a large Co-op, Next, M&S, Boots and many other local shops.
The main door of the accommodation leads into the main hall, you will pass under the Lanyon coat of arms which is dated 1668, from the hall you access the: main staircase, the formal dinning room, a panelled drawing room, a large kitchen, with a four oven Aga and an oak kitchen table that seats 12; there’s a south facing sitting room with double doors to a conservatory that overlooks the walled garden – this helps define Lanyon’s ‘space, peace and tranquillity’.
The main staircase leads to 4 of the 6 bedrooms, with the en-suite oak room, 2 twin rooms and the en-suite south facing bedroom. The backstairs leads to bedrooms 5 and 6, 1 twin & 1 double respectively - both are en-suite.
The accommodation at Lanyon has been sympathetically renovated throughout; mixing the convenience of modern living whilst retaining the character of the old. So after a hectic day on the beach you can return to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
